Description
Also known as zereshk, traditionally barberries are used in an Iranian rice pilaf known as tahcheen-zereshk. The red jewel-like berry colours perfectly the saffron-infused rice. Their tartness also makes them an excellent addition to chicken, lamb and other meats, incorporated into a stuffing or added to a salad.
